JEANNETTE MURPHY

Director of Marketing

Jeannette brings 14 years of marketing, sales and public relations experience to LTZ. She has worked for small companies to Fortune 100 companies ranging from advertising/pr agencies, to newspaper industry and networking technology, to several of the top national public homebuilders in the United States..

History

Jeannette graduated from Northeastern University, a private research university located in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree through the College of Journalism.  She graduated in 1995 with an Advertising Major.

Through the University’s signature cooperative education program, one of the largest and most innovative in the world, she began her marketing and advertising career at The Boston Globe, the most widely circulated daily newspaper in Boston and New England.

She continued her career with Motorola, a Fortune 100 company, where she was responsible for the publicity of the Network Systems Division product group.  In this role, she oversaw press relations, new product announcements, trade article placements, publicity events including trade shows, press events/tours and seminars.

On her travels to Las Vegas for trade shows, Jeannette found ‘Sin City’ fascinating and decided to take a gamble and move there in 1996 to begin a new career path.  She began her new career as a Advertising/Public Relations Specialist with a small local Las Vegas advertising and public relations firm.  Her main accounts were national homebuilders and she became fascinated with the homebuilding industry from researching, interviewing, writing and placing articles for her clients.

She moved on to become Sales & Marketing Assistant at a small homebuilding company were she was responsible for coordinating the creation and production of sales and marketing materials as well as website management for the company’s Las Vegas division.

After several years of learning the homebuilding business, she made a move into management for a large publicly traded national homebuilder – Kaufman and Broad (now called KB Home) and later for Beazer Homes.  Here, Jeannette was responsible for marketing communication, PR, and conceptual design and development of all advertising campaigns and marketing collateral.

Prior to joining LTZ, Jeannette was vice president of marketing for another national homebuilder and oversaw the marketing department for the Las Vegas division.

Jeannette was responsible for concept development and the design and production of a range of projects including corporate identity programs, brand management, trade advertising, marketing collateral, direct mail campaigns, exhibit graphics, and web branding and site design.  Jeannette served as the company's primary source of knowledge and analysis for information related to market/homebuilding design and trends, market sizing and competitors.
